How do you hang a tapestry?
If you order a finial and rod set with your tapestry, you will receive: 2 finials; a wooden rod that is custom cut to the exact width of the tapestry; and a set of metal brackets, which the rod hangs on. Each finial features a threaded screw for easy fastening to the wooden rod.
The rod is concealed in the rod pocket on the back of the tapestry.
The brackets are attached to the wall with the hardware provided.
Place the rod on the brackets to hang.
Rod will be hidden from view by tapestry.
If you don't order finials with your tapestry, the tapestry will come with hooks sewn on the back, which are used to hang the tapestry.
If you are hanging your tapestry on a curved wall, you will hang your tapestry with the hooks sewn on the back. When hanging a tapestry directly onto the wall with hooks, you can use wall décor as a decorative piece, however, the wall décor cannot support the tapestry.
What is the difference between regular jacquard-woven tapestries, chenille jacquard-woven tapestries, and hand-woven tapestries?
Tapestries, Ltd. tapestries are separated into two main categories, jacquard-woven and hand-woven.
Our jacquard-woven tapestries are machine woven on looms throughout Europe, in the same mills that have been weaving tapestries for decades. The jacquard-woven tapestries are made of any combination of cotton, wool, viscose or other materials. The tapestries have a lining on the back and a rod pocket at the top back for hanging with a finial and rod set. Many of the machine-woven tapestries are available in several variations such as different sizes and colors. The themes and color ranges are varied. Because they are machine woven, they have a very uniform texture.
There is a sub-category of jacquard-woven tapestries called chenille tapestries. The chenille tapestries are machine-woven in Belgium and are made of a combination of cotton, viscose, rayon, or other material. They tend to have a variety of design themes and a limited range of colors.
The Hand-woven tapestries are woven by skilled artisans one at a time. They are hand-crafted of 100% wool and tend to have a wide range of colors. They have a three-dimensional texture which gives them a unique character. In addition, they have subtle variations of specific colors, giving the design great detail. The hand-woven tapestries have a rod pocket at the top back for hanging with a finial and rod set. The back of these tapestries is un-lined, so customers can show off the hand craftmanship. A lining is available for hand-woven tapestries at an additional charge. Some of the hand-woven tapestries are available in multiple sizes and colors.

How does the Tapestry Flat-Screen Cover work?
The Tapestry is hung from the wall on a motorized rod. The press of a button on a remote control lowers or raises the tapestry, hiding or revealing the flat-screen TV that is on the wall behind it.
Is the Tapestry Flat-Screen Cover difficult to hang?
If hung by a professional installer (as we advise), it is a simple installation. The display brackets screw into the wall, and then the rod slides and latches into the brackets. The tapestry is already attached to the rod and the remote control is programmed to move the tapestry to the up and down positions.
What is included with the Tapestry Flat-Screen Cover?
- Tapestry
- Motorized Rod
- 12V Battery Wand or AC Wall Plug (Battery wand contains 8 AA lithium batteries)

- Operating & Installation Instructions
How should your tapestries and bedding ensembles be cleaned?
All tapestries and bedding ensemble components should be professionally dry cleaned only.
Can you explain the Finial and Rod Sets?
Each finial and rod set comes with (2) finials, a custom cut rod, and a set of brackets and hardware for hanging. The finial and rod set number starts with the item number for that individual finial (F2) and ends with R1. If you are ordering a finial and rod set, make sure the item number ends with R1 to indicate a finial and rod set (i.e. F2R1). Each rod is custom cut to the exact width of the tapestry you have ordered, so finial and rod sets must be ordered at the same time as the tapestry.
